Qiturngavut – Destigmatize Gender Roles (Girls/Women Qamutik Making Program)

Build your skills and knowledge of qamusiurniq and get hands-on experience. Participants will be able to build their own qamutik to take home to use for hunting and family outings. The goal of this program is to give the opportunity of qamutik making to women and girls.

The program is for girls and young women and will include discussions on gender roles in contemporary Inuit society. It will involve instruction from Elders and local knowledge holders.
