Caribou Skin Prep

The caribou skin preparation program provides participants with the opportunity to learn traditional process of tanning caribou skins. Participants will be guided through each stage of preparation, including cleaning, drying, softening and sewing caribou skins. Elders and knowledge content specialists will support participants in learning the skills, techniques, and cultural teachings required throughout the process. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided.
