Female Kamik Making

Ilitaqsiniq will be running an 8-week evening kamik-making program.

– 2 weeks of tool making
– 2 weeks of qisiliniq
– 3 weeks of sewing kamiik, participants will make a child size pair as their give back to the community
– 1 week will be sewing kamikpaak

This program will help young women build confidence and gain valuable traditional skills all while giving back to our community.

Ikajurniq is funded in part by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 12-30 to gain experience and build important
skills while giving back to their community.
