Youth Cultural Camp

Youth aged 12-30 take part in a 5-week volunteer program where they will acquire 120 volunteer hours of their time participating in a Ikajurniq camp.

Week 1: Youth will be involved in organizing an elders feast at the cabin.
Week 2: Building and distributing umiangaq to community organizations.
Week 3: Learning to maintain small engines.
Week 4: Setting nets and making fishing tools.
Week 5: Food preservation.

Ikajurniq is funded in part by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 12–30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community. Learn more at Canada.ca/CanadaServiceCorps.
